Quick Arena Ride and Other News

We did a quick 30 min ride in the arena today. Varro was LA_ZY!!! We worked mainly on our walk/trot transitions (without tossing his head). We also worked on halt at X then track right/left at C.  I have incorporated the Up Up Down exercise into our warm up so we will be doing that every time I ride. Not a very eventful ride, but it was a ride! We are expecting a cold snap next week so I am cleaning his blanket today to get ready.

On another note, Apollo will be coming back home in 2 weeks. He wasn't quite working out for the Lady who adopted him... So, he will be back in the herd and in the working rotation soon.

Here are a few pictures of Apollo when he came here about a year ago for rehab due to a torn suspensory ligament. It has since healed and he is trail sound only as it did healed contracted. It will be good to have him home again :-) Stay tuned for more posts about him!

    1. He really is! He is a BIG boy at 17.1 or so and he was just too much horse for the Lady who adopted him. I am looking forward to riding him again! He is FUN!

    1. I just love him! He has an amazing personality too! Too bad he will only ever be a walk/trot horse. I would LOVE to show him in the lower levels! He has SO much heart.
